Princeton University Hosts Largest Tournament of the Season

Princeton University hosted the fourth Eastern Collegiate Taekwondo Conference (ECTC) tournament of the 2018-2019 season. This tournament was the largest tournament so far, with 34 schools and 470 competitors in attendance.
After Opening Ceremonies, the competition started off strong with Poomsae. The following athletes medaled in their respective Poomsae Divisions:
As the Poomsae Divisions were drawing to a close, the sparring division started to ramp up. After a fierce day of fighting and several intense matches, the following teams medaled:
At the end of the day, in Division 1, Cornell took first place with 511 points, United States Military Academy took second with 344 points, and MIT took third with 315 points. In Division 2, Northeastern University took first place with 99 points, and Rutgers and Stony Brook University tied for second with 74 points. In Division 3, Johns Hopkins took first with 64 points, United States Naval Academy placed second with 48 points, and RIT took third with 43 points. The fifth and final tournament of the season will take place at the University of Vermont on Sunday, April 7, 2019.
