Interests outside of Taekwondo: Swimming, drawing, hiking, watching anime during my down time, and just recently I started horseback riding.

More about Maddie: I am left handed. One of my favorite places in the world is YMCA Camp Hi-Rock. Before I started doing Taekwondo I played soccer and swam competitively. I started doing Taekwondo at age 15 when my little sister went to a birthday party at a Taekwondo studio. She enjoyed it so much that she convinced me to try it and I fell in love immediately. My nickname on the UConn Taekwondo team is "Scorpion".

Thoughts on the ECTC (INCTL) or Taekwondo in general: This is my second year participating in ECTC tournaments and I think that the ECTC is absolutely wonderful. It is awesome how so many people give their time to allow college students to participate in Taekwondo tournaments. I'm really thankful to to everyone who has made this league possible, and hope that it exists for a long time so that many more collegiate athletes may enjoy it as well!
