More about Marisa:

When I graduate in May I will be headed down to flight school in Fort Rucker, AL to become an Army helicopter pilot. Our schooling will take almost two years and I’d like to fly either attack helicopters or Blackhawks. Also I come from a very military family and my older brother is currently a sophomore at West Point and on the Tae Kwon Do team with me!

Thoughts about the ECTC (INCTL) or Taekwondo in general:

The ECTC is a great way to put some team competition into the sport of Tae Kwon Do. When I started with the ECTC (then the INCTL) in 2006 I loved the competitive atmosphere and I formed a much closer bond with my teammates than I would have with regular open tournaments. As the years went on it was great to see which teams had rivalries and which cheered for each other, all while maintaining a friendly relationship. All in all the ECTC has been great in adapting to changes in our sport and has helped to develop better camaraderie both within teams and between teams.
